At last I’ve finished updating the blog and, as you will see, I’ve changed the template. I did so because I found the perfect template: Mandingo. A theme incredibly customizable and without having to touch a single line of code of the template’s key files. This template has been prepared so you can introduce the amendments in a section of the options page specifically prepared for this, among other wonders: SEO optimization , several color schemes , dynamic layout … in short, better going to it’s page and try the demo. As always, the high customization allowed was not enough for me and I’ve changed it a little bit more. And finally I was with two different designs in my hands for the blog. And here is why the title of this post. That’s because I like both so much that I don’t know which one use …. because they are totally opposite. One is “modern”, based on the scheme “orange” included with Mandingo and the other is more similar to the one in my old blog (few post below this one), and is a completely new layout (another one of the wonders of Mandingo, you can add your own schemes).
The fact is that I can’t get decided ….. because I like both and opposite poles. I use watercolors and the computer, I like to illustrate fairy tales and to do interfaces designs, I like the Lord of the Rings and Iron Man, classical music and NIN, fantasy and scifi …… you get the point, don’t you?
So I ask you, the ones that are reading this: which one you like best?. Below this post you have screenshots of both designs, “Modern”, the orange one and “Vintage” the other. And because I know that sometimes you don’t have the time to write a comment, I have included a new plugin WP_Polls so I can show a poll so you just have to choose one option and vote.
So …… Which one do you prefer?

Finally, after waiting for a long time, the new Nokia Internet Tablet N810 is in my hands. I was about to buy the N800 when Nokia announced the launch of the new model, so I decided to wait (have been two veeeeery long months). By the end it has been launched in Spain (almost a month later than in the United States), but only 30 units were available in the Nokia online shop and have already been exhausted by now (if I was not the first to order one…)
Finally, after a mistake from Ups that turned a delivery of 2 days in a wait of more than a week, it has arrived. And the first thing I´ve installed (after some “playing” you know ) has been Maemo Wordpy, an offline client for Wordpress created by Daniel Yerga that lets you write entries in the tablet to upload them to the blog later. A great program that, for what I´ve read will be even better,it even permits resize of images before uploading (well,by html tags). So this whole “brick” text has served to test this program, and create and upload this entry from my N810, so as you can see it works very well. And I am sooooo happy with my new acquisition
Note: Images aren’t so good, but I wanted to try how my E65+N810 combo works. The results are pretty good. It’s a good mobile solution

As you can see the translation of the titles of the posts is working, but I have some ’ little’ problems with the size (font size, don´t be a pervert). At this moment only the translation of posts titles is working, page titles (like the gallery) isn´t working yet (even though as far as I know it should work). Thanks to Gh3, the creator of Babel plugin who is very very kindly taking a look at the blog and the template´s code to see if the problems can be fixed. We´re having some problems but I think with this plugin the effort is worth the trouble. It could be nobody but me who, without having no idea of html nor php, began to make a blog (first one in my entire life, I swear) choosing wordpress as cms and start “playing” with the code (with Google´s aid, of course). I even don´t use widgets, all is embedded into the template´s code…..
I have a extrange love/hate relationship with Google this days….:)

Well, finally Babel is installed and running, an awesome plugin that you can get here, from the author´s own web. I still have some problems with post titles not being translated (I don´t know if it´s my template´s fault but I have had to figure how and where to introduce the code lines because the install as the author explains didn´t work for me) but I hope to fix it soon. Now, just a few details to be done like adding links to blogroll and a few things that, I supose, will be done over the time.
Right now you can change the language (just for that posts that I have wrote in both
languages, Babel is not an automatic translator, you have to write the text in both languages in order to keep Babel working) with the little flags next to the feeds, top corner of the sidebar.)

Hope I´ll get the rythm soon…
