Today I received an e-mail from Lynksee in which they informed me that the Lynksee project is going to be canceled. The adsense advertising model with which it was intended to pay the servers had to be withdrawn because of problems with the policy of the service. They claim for the moderation of the pages and the removal of the “illegal” content. Impossible thing to do by lynksee given the incredible number of pages that are indexed. Because of this draft lynksee is unable to continue paying the servers so … Next December 21st Lynksee closes its doors and publish the source code. It is a real pity because I think lynksee was the best free accommodation that could be found out there. The greatness of Lynksee is a service that offered nearly equivalent to a payment hosting but absolutely free, and under a GNU/GPL license.
With regard to this blog, it means that I have to find a place to host it, a place that admits wordpress and is free, and if this is not possible, at least not a very expensive one, because this blog does not give money, it’s just my small window of communication with the world and I do not want to put any advertising or adsense
So I would ask, if you know of somewhere where I can migrate this blog tell me with your comments … (Wordpress.com free service is not an option, because it has many shortcomings and elements that can only be used if you pay)

Lamentablemente estoy viendo que no hay nada gratuito y comparable a lynksee, asi que me estoy pensando mucho el contratar un hosting pues veo que no son tan caros como yo pensaba. Los he visto desde 24€ al año. Tambien es muy probable que pille un dominio con lo cual me evitare en el futuro que si cambio de servidor tener que volver a “arreglar” todos los links e informar a todo el mundo del cambio de direccion. 7 € al año por un dominio .com no me parece caro…. es muy probable que la direccion del blog acabe siendo ejeda.com…os mantendre informados.

Thanks so much for the information biohazard. Unfortunately I’ve checked that there is no service similar to Lynksee, at least for free. So I’m thinking seriously about a payment hosting service because they are cheaper than I thought. I’ve seen from 24 € a year. I’m thinking also about getting a domain name so I’ll be able to avoid all the link problems (and inform people again) if I ever change server, 7€ a year for a .com isn’t expensive at all. So probably the new direction will be something as ejeda.com…I’ll keep you informed.
